  • Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is when the macula, a small part of the retina, deteriorates. This can cause distortion, blurriness or permanent vision loss.
  • Amblyopia (Lazy Eye) is when one eye develops good vision in early childhood, yet the other one does not.
  • Astigmatism is a common condition where there is an imperfection in the curvature of the eye which can cause near and far objects to become blurry.
  • Bacterial Keratitis is an infection of the cornea which develops quickly and can lead to blindness if left untreated.
  • Cataracts is a clouding of the lens in the eye. Cataracts cause vision to become cloudy or blurry as if you are looking through a dirty window.
  • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) is when the conjunctiva becomes inflamed, irritated and appears red. There are several possible causes and it can be highly contagious.
  • Glaucoma is a disease that can damage and harm the optic nerve of the eye. Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness but can often be prevented with early treatment.
  • Hyperopia (Farsightedness) is an eye condition where nearby objects appear to be blurry and not in focus, but you can see objects that are far away clearly.
  • Myopia (Nearsightedness) is a condition where things far away appear blurry and not in focus, but objects up close can be seen clearly.
  • Presbyopia (Aging Eye) is a condition that effects most people as they age which makes it harder to read and see things up close.
  • Pterygium (Surfer’s Eye) is the growth of a thin tissue on the white of the eye which can extend over the cornea.
